Don’t get me wrong, I’m not coming for science. Science is great. I’m an Aquarius, for Goddess’s sake, I love explanations and information. But just because we can understand something doesn’t make it any less magical. Like a rainbow for example; we know it’s the Sun’s light refracted through a prism, but does knowing this make it any less magical?! Life, nature especially, is magical. A caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, lighting streaking across the sky, even the way fruit blossoms on a tree is profound magic.
Perhaps we have become numb to these spells. Perhaps we take for granted that we are magical creatures in a magical world. But the more you can sink into the ordinary world around you, the more the magic of existence will reveal itself to you.
Magic isn’t somewhere else in some faraway realm. It’s here!
Chocolate is magic. Feathers are magic. Your eyes, your skin, your four-chambered heart are magic. You are magic, and the more you can remind yourself that magic is real and right in front of our noses, the more you will begin to realize there is an undercurrent of impossible miracles that sustain us every day.
Yes, these are challenging times. Yes, the world is getting stranger and more complex. But the magic isn’t going anywhere; it’s the lifeblood of this planet. And it is here for all who seek to notice it.
