If it seems as if you haven’t heard from me in a while, you’re right. I’ve had to redirect my energies this past month to tend to my dog, Noche. On January 20th, the day of the eclipse, my husband and I were informed Noche had a cancerous sarcoma. What followed in the next few weeks took us both through a deeply tender and challenging journey. Now that Noche is recovered and the crisis quelled, I can begin to sift through the gifts and teachings of this experience and share them with you. And I am not surprised to discover that what I consider the most profound of these teachings resonates strongly with the essence of this New Moon in Pisces.
Allow me to explain. That first week after diagnosis I was a mess. And so I took a series of journeys* to try to understand the deeper invitation around Noche’s disease. I wanted to know what this experience was trying to teach me. I was in desperate need of perspective. I won’t belabor you with everything I learned (and am still learning). But suffice to say a lot of the lessons were around gratitude, appreciation, presence, and faith. However, the biggest lesson was shocking in its directness, and I wanted to speak to it here. The most important thing I journeyed on was to know what I could do for Noche, as the being who was actually going through all of this. What could I do to help him? And the answer I got was shocking. It was this: if you can hold the vision, you can change the outcome.

The hardest part about holding a vision is selecting the vision to hold. That’s where the New Moon in Pisces comes in, to hold our hand, to help us call in the vision and clarify the vision. And we have time. This New Moon is happening in concert with many other planets—Mercury and Neptune to name a few—which means we will be feeling the reverberations of this New Moon for a while. So you don’t need the vision tomorrow, but you will need it by April. Which means you have the next month or so to decide where your life is heading. The portal is open, but only you can determine where it will take you.
Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. It is the sign of the dreamer. And this is the season to design your next dream. Never forget that you are co-creating your life with the divine. If you can pick a vision and stick with a vision, you truly can change your life.
What stands between you and your next big dream is your willingness to believe it. Holding a vision means we are relentless in our belief. We stand firmly rooted in the fact that the dream isn’t coming true, it already is true. In every moment, it bubbles up to the surface, slowly weaving itself into existence. And in every moment you have to choose to stick with it, to not let doubt diminish the vision, or fear override it. Can you believe in yourself enough to bring your vision forward, for all of us? That’s where this Pisces energy wants to take us.
I can’t give you your dream. No one can—not even the wisest sage or the angels themselves. Only your heart can deliver the right dream for you. It would be wise to spend some time today or tomorrow in the waters of your heart and observe what dreams swim up to the surface. You have to get quiet, remain still, don’t startle them. It’s almost like fishing. You have to patient. And then keep coming back. Every day, for the next few weeks, swim in your heart. Even if it’s only three minutes a day. Give the vision a chance to find you. The more time you spend in your heart, the more assured you can be you won’t miss it.
