I adore the incredible Dolomite (Dolomiti) Mountains in Northern Italy—the air is crisp, the sky is blue, and the mountains are high and powerful. I love to travel there in the summer when the snow has melted and the fields are spotted with colorful wildflowers.
Trekking in Dolomiti is a heavenly experience, but it always makes me very hungry! Fortunately, there are chalets in the woods to feed all the trekkers, where they always serve warm comfort food, liqueurs, and hot chocolate!
I tried this rich and delicious dessert in one of these top mountain bars, and I found it fantastic! Its origins are lost in the memory of time, but it’s perfect after a long walk served with hot chocolate or cappuccino!
